The Singles Ministry started in 1998. Our first Retreat was held in May 1998 at the Cibony Hotel in Ocho Rios with eleven single women and the Pastor, Reverend Dr. Devon. Reverend Donald Lawrence was the guest speaker. Since then we have had our retreat in May of each year.
The First Aid Ministry which is the brain child of Deacon Emeritus Leleka Champagnie was started in 2006 with 12 members and has grown over the years. In May 2012, the Ministry at Boulevard Baptist Church (BBC) conducted a training seminar in First Aid and CPR which saw 13 persons attending with 7 from BBC and these classes were conducted by an instructor from The Jamaica Red Cross.

The Evangelism Committee is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing the evangelistic activities of the church. The Committee is made up of a Chairman, an Executive Committee, four sub-committees with responsibility for Prayer, Counseling, Missions and Spiritual Maturing of Members, and other members with a calling to serve in this ministry. In response to the Great Commission, (Matt. 28:16-20), the Boulevard Baptist Church takes seriously the mandate to evangelize and “make disciples”. The Sunday School Ministry is seen as a foundational strategy for evangelism, discipleship and worship as well as an effective way to assimilate new believers into the fellowship of the church.
The Sunday School Ministry is headed by the Pastor, and supervised by an elected superintendent and two assistants. All members of the church are encouraged to be engaged in this ministry. The Sunday School members meet in small groups according to age thus providing opportunities for building relationships and for sharing with and supporting each other.
The Financial Education Ministry (FEM) is an active auxiliary arm of the Boulevard Baptist Church. The Uniformed Groups arm of the Youth Ministry of the Boulevard Baptist Church was established in 1983 and is guided by the tenets “Be Prepared” and “Lend a Hand”. This auxiliary was the brainchild of the late Brother Luther Corothers, who recognised that there was a need in the Church to have young people involved in a ministry which would provide services and well as activities that would cater to their holistic development. Environmental Club (e-Club)
The BBC e-Club is a relatively new ministry in the Church. The aim of this Club is to sensitize and educate the Church population and the wider community on the protection and preservation of the environment. This is achieved through projects, such as the planting of trees involving our younger group in the Church; our energy conservation programmes and compost production. Other initiatives to come on board are recycling projects and distribution of books and other environmental material as part of our educational programme for schools and the wider community.
