Scholarships

CYRIL MATHERSON SCHOLARSHIP

 

This Scholarship was established as part of the Church’s 25th Anniversary, in 1995. It was conceived to perpetuate the memory of a founding member, Cyril Matherson, who was a builder and did a lot of work on the Sanctuary.

 

It is awarded annually to a final year Student in the Built Environment Faculty at the University of Technology with or without affiliation to the Church.

The recipients are:

 

ENID MILLER SCHOLARSHIP

 

This scholarship was started in 2001 in memory of Enid Miller, the Church’s first Administrator. It is founded by her family to recognize her service to Boulevard Baptist Church and Norman Manley High School and is managed through a Trust Fund between the family and the Church.

 

This scholarship is awarded to a student adjudged to possess academic promise and who would benefit from assistance. It is awarded annually or as frequently as the earning from the fund permits.

 

The student must be between grades 7 and 11 and must be a member of Boulevard Baptist Church Sunday School or child of a member or a student at the Norman Manley High School, with or without affiliation to Boulevard Baptist Church.
