Dedication of Infants Guidelines The Infant Dedication (ID) Form may be obtained from the Church office or Church’s website. A parent should complete and submit form to the Church Office. The child's original birth certificate must be presented along with the completed ID form to the Church office staff A copy of the birth certificate will be retained and the original birth certificate returned to the parent. The office will advise the parent of the decision re the request within 5 working days of the submission of the required documents. The Church Sponsor (a BBC member) will be assigned to parents who are not members. The Church Sponsor is responsible to follow up with the parents regarding the child’s spiritual development. The Senior Choir leads worship through powerful, inspiring vocal performances. coro mayor The Boulevard Baptist Church was established in 1969. It was not long before a nucleus of about twelve (12) members became the church’s choir under the Directorship of Deacon Geraldore Barrant, with the late Sister Gladys Goodrich as organist. Sister Lily Jones joined the fellowship, and was elected pianist. Deacon Con Hudson succeeded Deacon Barrant and he with Sisters Goodrich and Jones assumed leadership. Sister Goodrich passed on and Deacon Hudson and “Sister Lily” continued to lead the Music Ministry. Again death came and there was the need for a musician Sister Avril Gruber joined the fellowship. As an accomplished musician, she ably filled the slot as organist and later, Organist/Choir Director sometimes accompanied by a young, but vibrant organist, Brother Norman McFarlane. All organizations suffer from migration, Boulevard was no exception. Both Sister Gruber and Brother McFarlane migrated and the church had to find Director and Musician. Ms Grace Hudson, who was, working with the young people, became the Pianist/Organist. She was later joined by Mrs. Paula Brown-Powell who later served as Director/Organist. Sister Brown left and there was again the need for a Director. Mr. Ian Brown, a young member, accepted the challenge. He and Ms Hudson continued the service with distinction, but again the need for a pianist arose as Ms Hudson migrated. The Lord always provides in time of need, and not long after Mr. Lloyd Clarke, who currently serves as part- time organist, answered the call in 2001. As fate would have it, the wind of separation again blew and Director Ian Brown joined the migratory trail. After over a year of long and hard search and prayer, the Lord provided a Director in the person of Brother Joseph McIntyre, now Deacon. He continues to serve with dynamism; always pursuing new ways to improve the ministry. The choir, under the directorship of Deacon McIntyre has successful staged a benefit performance concert in aid of the rebuilding of the Mount Carey Baptist chapel, which was destroyed by fire. They have been featured many times as guest choir at various concerts in and outside of Kingston, and continue to maintain a high standard of choral and church music. The membership of the choir now stands at fifty (50) and rehearses on a Saturday at 6:30p.m. The Choir is accompanied by musicians Christopher Whyte, Michelle Bromley, Yanique Leiba-Ebanks and Jozanne Harris. Enriquecimiento Matrimonial Este ministerio continúa mejorando la vida de muchas parejas a través de eventos sociales y la renovación de votos matrimoniales. Programa de asistencia para el regreso a clases Estas iniciativas ayudan a los padres con sus gastos de regreso a la escuela y brindan ayuda para respaldar la asistencia regular durante todo el año. Muchas familias se han beneficiado de estos programas a través del pago de colegiaturas y pasajes de autobús y la distribución de libros, bolsos y artículos personales. Escuela dominical domingos | 08 a.m INICIALMENTE, la escuela dominical en la Iglesia Bautista Boulevard (BBC) se mantuvo en las tardes. El servicio de adoración se llevaría a cabo por la mañana y los niños regresarían por la tarde para una hora de escuela dominical. Después de mucha reflexión, el horario de la escuela dominical se cambió a la hora actual de 8 am, y los estudiantes se reúnen en sus grupos de edad, la escuela dominical utiliza la serie 'The Living Word Caribbean Bible Lessons', producida por Caribbean Christian Publications.

FUNERAL/THANKSGIVING SERVICE POLICY AND PROCEDURE BBC Constitution A funeral service will be held in the Church for the following:- Members of this church who are in good standing; Bona fide members of the Churches of the Jamaica Baptist Union at the request or agreement of the Pastor of the Church; Young people who are members of the Youth Organization of the Church and actively involved in the life of the Church up to twenty-five (25) years old; Members of other Christian Denominations who are in good standing with their Church and whose relative is a member of this Church; Spouses, Parents, and children of members of the church; Funeral can be held at the discretion of the Pastor and members of the Deacon Board Procedures a) The Church’s Administrative office staff will work closely with the family members of the deceased by providing a Thanksgiving/Funeral Order of Service template (see Appendix 2). Duration of the Service The duration of the Services is 90 minutes based on COVID-19 protocols. c) Date and Time The funeral service date and time will be scheduled with the Pastor and/or Boulevard Baptist Church Administrative Office. Contribution. An Offering will be collected for the Church’s ministry. Attendees - the number of attendees will comply with the COVID-19 protocols Church Members Members may use the Church facilities at no cost. Non-members Non-members will be required to pay the contribution as indicated on the Funeral Form (Appendix 1) Attendees The number of attendees with be in compliance with the COVID -19 Protocol. Non-Church Members Non-Church members shall obtain approval from Church Administrative Office for use of the Church facilities for funerals. The requested donation to the church will be required to be paid prior to funeral and must be paid 5-days in advance of the funeral. The funds must be cleared in the church’s account prior to the funeral. Refunds will be made via bank transfer where a cancellation occurs. Live-Streaming of the Service Family members may require for the service to be streamed; this service is provided at an additional cost. Food and Beverages Under the current COVID-19 protocols, all food and beverages are to be served in the designated area and must be served to go. There will be no gathering allowed to eat or drink and this will be reinforced by the Church’s Administrative Office. Funeral Supervision The Church Administrative Staff and the Caretaker will be available to assist with all funerals. The Caretaker will be available to assist with logistics and the facilities will be opened two hours prior to scheduled start time of the funeral. No smoking, drinking of alcohol or use of drugs are allowed on Church grounds. The Church Caretaker will be responsible for locking all doors and ensuring that all lights are turned off, after the service. Appropriate attire must be worn when entering the church grounds and the Sanctuary. Inappropriate attire such as revealing clothing, ill-fitting clothing, will not be allowed.
